Much of a Mushroom Likeness of a Lichen

Quite stoked to find this one, could be coral, some kind of obscure polypore? Or maybe not a fungus at all and more likeness to a lichen? Tiny structures of pure white with black base reaching out of the moss of an old stump. Can you name this mush/chen?

Still... fun with using portrait lenses for close-ups, as you begin working with a lense at it's minimum focusing distance the aperture (range of the photo that develops in focus) scales down to the millimeter. I should really start using a tripod and multiple exposure, unfortunately the Olympus Pen E-PL1 doesn't accept remote shutter control. Time to fashion a rig me thinks, Bike break cables and a Velcro bracket? That's for another post.
