This is a bit of a 'throw back' post, earlier this year before mushrooms came along I had a different mistress. I'm lucky enough to live in Dorset home of some of the most beautiful coastline the UK has to offer, and I don't mean the blue flag beaches!

Durdle Door, Old Harry's Rock, Dancing Ledge and Lulworth Cove were among my favorites to explore. On a day walk in March I walked from Dancing Ledge along the coast to Winspit.

These sites are steeped in history, they were both quarried for the Purbeck Limestone during the 18th and up to the 19th century. Winspit was also used as naval and air defenses during the second world war. It's now open to the public and very popular with climbers and wild campers alike, although these are not generally exclusive!

On my walk I explored several paths that lead down the cliffs. Most of these opened out onto ledges ranging in size and height from the sea. This afternoon sparked months of enjoyment finding lots of fantastic spots and even more great barbeq... I mean people.
